The WWRA welcome new players. We have a number of playing chairs available for potential players to use, so all you have to do is come along and have a go. If you do want to have a go; please let us know in advance so that we can ensure that the equipment is there for you to use.

If you are interested in setting up a team in your area we can provide support: We may be able to help with demonstrations; equipment; publicity; and even players until you have become established.

There are many ways that you can help the team; it can be hard work, but also a lot of fun. The team have qualified for the Europa Cup next year, and we are hoping to take part in other International tournaments; so we desparately need more volunteers. The WWRA will cover most expenses.

We need people to:

carry equipment
wheelchair maintenance
help courtside during matches
help with personal care and/or dressing

officials

There is a real shortage of officials in the world; they are a necessity for every tournament which is held. You could train to become a: Referee; an Assistant Referee; or for a role on the table (keeping score or working the clock). There are opportunities to take these roles as far as you like: Internationally or just for domestic tournaments.

The WWRA can assist with taining for these roles.

We are a self-funding organisation. To survive we need regular donations or funds raised. We are interested to hear from anyone who has any ideas or initiatives for how we can raise funds. In the past we have: held charity matches against able-bodied sides; participated in sponsored events; auctioned donated items; and we have received kind donations from other charities and from the Private sector - see thanks..
