Jonathan Davies rises to the challenge!

In February, Jonathan Davies the Welsh international fly-half, turned BBC TV pundit, tried his hand at wheelchair rugby with the Cardiff Pirates at their training session in Llantrisant. He was accompanied by a TV crew, and the footage was shown before Wales' Six nations game against Italy on the BBC's coverage of "Super Saturday". It was also shown on Scrum V.

The purpose of his visit was to see how well the money from Sport Relief had been spent. The Pirates received money from Sport Relief towards the cost of hall hire; equipment - cones, balls, tyres/tubes; and travel expenses.

The Pirates would like to thank Sports Relief and all those who donated to, or fundraised for the cause. Also, massive thanks to Jonathan for taking the time to have a go at our sport. We hope that he enjoyed it.
